Creating Your Dessert Table

If there’s one thing I’ve learned about the dessert table it’s that you can never order too much.


If you’re offering more than one option at your dessert table, prepare for people to help themselves to multiple options. That said, you’ll want to prepare for people to try one of each option you have on display.


We learned this the hard way at our own wedding…


Our dessert table consisted of:


Cake

Cupcakes

Cake Pops

Cookies

Donuts



That’s a lot of dessert!


You know what’s worse….


Being the bride and groom and not getting a chance to try any of the dessert because all of your guests ate it before you could.


So here’s a good rule of thumb:


If you’re only offering one dessert option, prepare for 20% over your total guest count.


If you’re offering more than one dessert option, prepare for 20% over your total guest count for each dessert option.


AND, make sure you or someone else grabs the desserts you (as the bride and groom) want to eat and place them at your place setting. This way, you are guaranteed dessert at your own wedding!
